PURPOSE:To obtain a welding metal for padding and a welding rod being excellent in welding cracking resistance, which has elevated ductility especially by adding V of a proper quantity to austenite compound stainless steel mainly consisting of Cr, Ni, Co and Mn. CONSTITUTION:This stainless steel welding alloy consists of 0.10-0.40% C, 0.20-1.00% Si, 2.0-7.0% Mn, 1.0-7.0% Ni, 2.0-10.0% Co, 16.0-23.0% Cr and 0.10-1.50% V, by wt. respectively, and the remaining part of Fe substantially. Also, it is desirable to further add 0.5-2.0% Mo to said components. When this welding alloy is contained in a core wire of a coating arc electrode or a coating agent, the ductility is made satisfactory remarkably, and the welding cracking resistance is elevated. |
