REPLY MAIL GENERATING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To improve the man-machine interface in the generation of a reply mail by allowing a sender side to have only to register reply designation display so as to display the presence of a reply request to the sent mail at a receiver side. CONSTITUTION:When a reply to a mail is desired in a multi-medium terminal equipment 6i sending the mail, a reply request registration means 10i sets a reply flag to a reply flag register 8i. Then the reply flag together with a sender envelope data to send to a multi-medium mail system 4 via a reply means 16i and a digital exchange 2 and registered in a reply flag registration area 7 by a mail processing means 11. When the reply flag exists in the mail requested by other multi-medium terminal equipment, the means 11 registers the data in a reply envelope data registration area. A reply person destination display control means 14l of the reception request in response to the reply flag allows a display section 12l to display the reply destination.
