PURPOSE:To facilitate the increase in number of sets to be connected, to allow less number of signal lines and to facilitate the connection work by connecting plural AV equipments in a loop via a communication and applying time division to an AV signal by a system control signal. CONSTITUTION:A communication data D2 sent from a pre-stage device via a communication cable 2 and a communication interface 8 is separated into an AV signal S2 and a system control signal SC2 at a communication data separation circuit 6. The signal SC2 is sent to a main control circuit 7, where it is decoded and whether or not the transmission destination of the communication data is addressed to itself is discriminated. When the destination is addressed to itself, an input switch 41 is closed and a signal S2 and a device control signal DC are sent to a signal processing section 3. As a result, the processing section 3 processes the signal S2 to apply output operation such as video display, sounding or recording or the like. Furthermore, a reply data representing that the processing section 3 starts a prescribed output operation is sent to a communication data generating circuit 5. |
