PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal shrinkable film having high thermal shrinkability and hence hot water shrinkability at relatively low temperature such as approx., 75 deg.C and satisfactory gas barrier properties by mixing two types of polyamides having specific compositions and biaxially orienting the mixture. CONSTITUTION:Polyamide of mixture of polyamide composed of 20 - 90mol-% of hexamethylenediamine unit and 80 - 10mol-% of metaxylylenediamine unit and/or 1,3-phenylenedioxydiacetate unit based on total diamine unit and 0 - 49mol-% of oxydiacetate unit and 100 - 51mol-% of terephthalic acid unit based on total dicarborcylic unit and/or isophthalic acid unit and polyamide 70 - 100wt.% of fatty acid polyamide forming component, and 30 - 5wt.% of aromatic polyamide forming component made of one or more types of fatty acid diamine and one or more types of aromatic dicarboxylic acid is biaxially oriented to form a film. This film has 25% or more of hot water shrinkage at 75 deg.C. |
