An electric lawnmower safety attachment comprises an elongate arm 11, clamping means 10 at or adjacent one end of the arm and adapted to clamp the arm, in use, to a frame member of the mower in such a manner that the arm projects from said frame member transverse to the normal advancing movement of the mower; and holding means 18 at or adjacent the non-clamped end of the arm; the holding means being adapted to engage the electrical supply cable of the mower; and the length of the arm being such that, in use, the portion of the cable engaged by the holding means is held at an appreciable distance away from, rather than adjacent to, the mower frame member. <IMAGE>
