It consists in establishing a barrier against the insects, specifically against cockroaches, based on a trench 3 in the ground which runs around the perimeter of the building, with an opening 5 of minimum dimensions but which cannot be "jumped" by the cockroaches, and with a suitable shape to allow the cockroaches to fall inside the trench and to prevent their exit, this trench 3 having interacting with it a platform 7 which covers it but which is raised to allow the passage of the cockroaches underneath it and towards the aforesaid trench. Complementary barriers for doors and windows are formed from a profile 9 of spiral section to which the cockroaches gain access via the lateral opening 12 and in which, on reaching the inner edge 13, they lose contact (detach), falling towards the trench 3 into which said profiles 9 open out. <IMAGE>
