Flat stacked ceramic charge objects are strapped together into parcels prior to being stacked either in single or several layers on the kiln trolley of tunnel kilns. In the prefd. method mechanically strong plates projecting over the edges of the charge stack are placed over each end of the stack prior to strapping. The method greatly eases handling of the material and is used for tiles, etc.
