<p>This manually actuated device makes it possible to achieve a quick seal tight connection between two overlapping vessels (1) and (13) to permit to transfer a liquid from the top vessel to the bottom one. The device comprises a water tight union (5) pivotable on a fixed flange (2) to which said union is secured by means of a helical coupling (6-8). By rotating the union (5) by means of a manual lever (6), the union can be shifted vertically upward or downward to connect or disconnect the vessels with respect to each other, as the discharge neck (15) of vessel (1) is inserted seal tight in the fixed flange (2), while union (5), the seal tightness of which on sleeve (24) of flange (2) is ensured by a gasket (12), engages in the loading opening (10) of the underlying vessel (13) by means of a gasket (11).</p> |
