<p>The invention relates to a device, independent of centrifugal force, for preventing gates, overhead doors or the like, from falling or closing inadvertently. The device has locking elements co-operating with a locking wheel and stops in a stationary housing, which are raised, by movement of a counter-housing, from a neutral position to a locking position, the locking elements being at rest in their recesses when the device is in its normal operative position.</p> |
