Flat radiators with a top covering grid and lateral cladding panels possess, on their rear side, fastening elements for these additional parts and for the fastening of the radiator itself to corresponding holders. The flat radiator (1) according to the invention possesses, at a distance from its front panel, a continuous rear panel (6) with horizontal profiles (7) and punched-out areas (8) in these profiles (7). The rear panel serves to fasten the covering parts, to support the radiator itself, to stabilise a longer heating panel and to provide a rearward screen. <IMAGE>
