PURPOSE:To provide a phthalocyanine complex based deodorant which improves a deodorizing power by a method wherein the deodorant is formed by carboxyphthalocyanine metallic complex ester of water insoluble polyvinyl butyral having the specified degree of butyral. CONSTITUTION:A deodorant is formed by carboxyphthalocyanine metallic com plex ester of water insoluble polyvinyl butyral having the degree of butyral of 30-50. Polyvinyl butyral is induced from polyvinyl acetate saponifying sub stance, 30-50% of a vinyl alcohol group produces butyral, and the rest vinyl alcohol group is reacted to a carboxyl group of a carboxyphthalocyanine metal lic complex by utilizing a part thereof remaining at a side chain to prepare ester bond being a covalent bond, and the carboxyphthalocyanine metallic com plex is bonded with a side chain. |
