PURPOSE: To generate an appropriate damping force when a large force is suddenly applied by providing a plurality of elements to control the flow passage area in a relatively movable manner to a piston, and providing a weight so as to be moved by acceleration/deceleration of the piston. CONSTITUTION: Elements 16, 17 to control the flow passage area of a working fluid to be communicated with upper and lower parts of a piston 10 are provided. The elements 16, 17 are provided in a moving direction of the piston 10 in a relatively movable manner to the piston 10, weights 15, 17 are provided on the elements 16, 17, and the inertia force to be applied to the elements 16, 17 or the weights 15, 17 moves the elements 16, 17 by the acceleration/ deceleration of the piston 10, and the flow passage area is changed thereby. A large impact in riding over an obstacle on a road surface can be excellently absorbed by changing the damping force at the instant of the acceleration/ deceleration of the piston. |
