PURPOSE: To correctly guide a printed book without damaging it by providing a belt roller provided with a carrier belt ion a run gap between a folding drum and a gripper drum, placing a belt section on the return side of the carrier belt on an outer circumferential surface of the gripper drum, and fixing a suction chamber to an outer circumferential surface of the folding drum. CONSTITUTION: After a running printed book half part 4 is released by a needle 5 of a folding drum 3, it is sucked to a guide plate 21 by negative pressure in a suction chamber 16. Next, by rotary motion of a gripper drum 6, a gripper device 8 cooperates with a carrier belt 11 to continuously carry the printed book against braking force of the suction chamber. The printed book half part running precedingly is turned through a belt roller 10, and both printed book half parts are superposed with each other. |
