<p>PURPOSE: To change length of an inlet tract by forming a first and a second parts with different length of the inlet tract that connects an engine with a chamber having an inlet hole through a valve, and connecting the engine only to the first part of the inlet tract by rotation of the valve. CONSTITUTION: An internal combustion engine inlet manifold has a chamber 11 and a plurality of inlet tracts 12. The inlet tract 12 is constituted by a first length part 13 that connects to an engine 50 and a second length part 14 that connects to the chamber 11 having an inlet hole, and a valve chamber 30 and a valve member 15 lie between the two parts. While the engine rotates over the predetermined rate, the valve member 15 is rotated by a control unit, a duct 40 closes the second length part 14, so the chamber 11 and the engine 50 are connected only by the first length part 13 through inlet 31 arranged in the valve chamber 30. Therefore, the inlet tract adapts to a long duct at low speed, and becomes shorter to adapt to a high output at high speed.</p> |
