<p>A digital VTR for recording and reproducing digital PAL signals sampled at a frequency 2m times (m is a positive integer) as great as the color subcarrier frequency. On the recording side is provided means (9) which shifts by m samples the sample to which a start address is attached in the horizontal direction depending upon the field, such that the sample across the field in the reproduced memory will have the same phase with the same address during the high-speed reproduction. Therefore, the picture can be realized at high speeds maintaining excellent quality while minimizing wasteful lines.</p> |
