IMAGE-FORMING WITH PHOTOPOLYMERIZABLE LIGHT-SENSITIVE MATERIAL AND IMAGE-RECEIVING MATERIAL

An image-forming method comprises: imagewise exposing a light-sensitive material comprises a light-sensitive layer containing silver halide, a reducing agent and a polymerizable compound provided on a support to form a latent image of the silver halide; simultaneously or thereafter developing the light-sensitive material to imagewise polymerize the polymerizable compound; and pressing the light-sensitive material on an image-receiving material comprising an image-receiving layer provided on a paper support to transfer the unpolymerized polymerizable compound to the image-receiving material. Another image-forming method comprises: imagewise exposing a light-sensitive material comprises a light-sensitive layer containing a photo polymerizable composition or a photo polymerizable compound provided on a support to imagewise polymerize the photo polymerizable composition or compound; and pressing the light-sensitive material on an image-receiving material comprising an image-receiving layer provided on a paper support to transfer the unpolymerized photo polymerizable composition or compound to the image-receiving material. The paper support of the image-receiving material employs a base paper sheet having such distribution of fibers that the total coefficient of variation relating to the distribution curve of laser beam transmittance is not more than 15%. The distribution curve of laser beam transmittance is obtained by helium-neon laser scanning.
