COMPOSITE RUBBER SHEET AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To obtain a long-sized strong composite rubber sheet wherein both a foamed rubber layer and an unfoamed rubber layer are integrally joined without utilizing an adhesive by overlapping an unvulcanized rubber layer free from a foaming agent on a single side or both sides of the unvulcanized rubber layer incorporating the foaming agent and passing the rubber layers through a continuous rotary vulcanized and heating the rubber layers while pressurizing them. CONSTITUTION:The title sheet is produced by preferably using a continuous rotary vulcanizer and heating both an unvulcanized rubber sheet 2 incorporating a foaming agent and an unvulcanized ordinary rubber sheet 3 while pressurizing both rubber sheets, laminating and integrating the rubber sheets at the same time of vulcanization and foaming. The continuous rotary vulcanizer utilized herein is a so-called ROTOCURE and a driving roll, a guide roll and a tension roll are structurally arranged in one piece respectively around a central main roll heated by steam. The material to be worked is vulcanized while this material is pushed on the main roll by a steel belt wound on three rolls excepting the main roll.
