The invention relates to a process for the preparation of a transformed filamentous fungus comprising use of an appropriate vector for the transformation which comprises: an integrated block ("cassette") of DNA expression obtained from in vitro recombination containing a region controlling the start of transcription, a free reading frame which codes for a signal sequence for secretion when the reading frame concords with a structural gene of interest and a region controlling the end of transcription, such that they can be incorporated into a chromosome of the said filamentous fungus, the said function-regulating regions being in the said hosts and the said host also being characterized in that it has a non-functional secretion gene.
