PURPOSE:To obtain the subject nonwoven fabric having respective specific opening and unopening parts of respective specific sizes and intervals by placing a web on a supporting net of a specific mesh, arranging a shielding net of a specific mesh interval thereon obliquely to the mesh of the supporting net and exposing the laminate to water streams from the upper side. CONSTITUTION:A web (3a) is placed on a supporting net (4a) of 5-40 mesh and a shielding net (6a) having mesh interval of (39/20)-(21/20) or (20/21)-(20/39) that of the supporting net is obliquely arranged at 2-15 deg. to the mesh of the above-mentioned supporting net and exposed to water streams thereon over the whole web width to afford the objective nonwoven fabric, having opening parts with a size of 0.2-1.5mm diameter and an interval of 1.2-3 times of the diameter and opened in nearly a square form and unopening parts surrounded with the opening parts and lines, mutually connecting the most adjacent unopening parts and tilted at <=15 deg. to the longitudinal direction of the nonwoven fabric and a checkered or polka-dotted pattern formed as a whole and appearance, hand touch and feeling of a woven fabric and excellent in function to wipe off dirts without fouling hand therewitn and suitable as wipers, cover cloths, etc. |
