摘要 PURPOSE:To enable damage to be avoided of a fellow gear with short fiber napped from a tooth surface in a gear of high accuracy by molding it by resin containing the short fiber, arranging it almost parallelly with the tooth surface in the vicinity of at least the tooth surface and performing machine work of the tooth surface. CONSTITUTION:In a resin-made gear 1, a short fiber S is arranged parallelly with a tooth surface 2 in a region A in the vicinity of the tooth surface 2 and oriented at random in a region B other than the region A. The gear 1 is molded in a shape about 0.1 to 1mm larger than the shape by actual finish work. Next performing machine work of the gear, the tooth surface 2 is finished in high accuracy. Here because the short fiber is arranged parallelly with the tooth surface in the region A in the vicinity of the tooth surface, the short fiber S is prevented from being napped from the tooth surface 2 in the time of machine work, so that the gear 1, when it is meshed with the fellow gear, is prevented from napping the short fiber S from the tooth surface, thus preventing the fellow gear from damaging its tooth surface. While because the short fiber S is arranged at random in the region B, uniform strength can be obtained in all the directions.
