PURPOSE:To perform the input of passwords easily and at low cost utilizing a part of an existing device by outputting an engine start-up permission signal in case the password inputted by the on/off operation of an input switch provided at one part of an Eleatrical equipment coincides with the prememorized standard password. CONSTITUTION:In an Eleatrical equipment provided in an automobile, a key 2 is rotated to and from between the 'off' position where the key 2 is inserted into a key cylinder 1 and the 'on' position which is an accessory (ACC). Passwords such as '1010..' are successively formed according to whether or not the on/off time is longer than the preset time (for example one second) by means of an input switch provided inside and not illustrated. The appropriately assembled passwords are preset and registered in a control device 3 and compared with the standard passwords. In case both passwords coincide, the start-up permission signal SC is outputted so as to enable the actuation of a starter 5. |
