PURPOSE:To obtain a frozen beverage capable of obtaining the title beverage through simply thawing in a microwave oven by putting into a container capable of uniform thawing with microwave both large-sized ice blocks and frozen product of beverage stock solution each produced by freezing separately. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, large-sized ice blocks 2 and a frozen product 3 of a beverage stock solution (e.g., coffee, fruit juice) are each prepared by freezing separately. These two kinds of products 2 and 3 are then put into container 1b capable of uniform thawing with microwave followed by fitting with a cap 1a to effect sealing, thus obtaining a large-sized ice block-contg. frozen beverage. The objective large-sized ice block-contg. beverage can readily be obtained by simply thawing the above frozen beverage, together with the container, in a microwave oven. With no high-temperature and high-pressure sterilization process in putting said two kinds of frozen products into the container, the flavor inherent in the beverage will not be impaired. Furthermore, because of being frozen, this beverage can be stored for a long period, causing no flavor deterioration during storage. |
