摘要 |
PURPOSE: To form an electric current generating apparatus capable of obtain an electric energy with high efficiency by jointly providing steam generating device and an helium and podium exchanger to a high-temperature nuclear reactor employing helium as a coolant. CONSTITUTION: A helium and sodium heat-exchanger 14 is installed at a first circulation path 2 of a helium cooling type high-temperature nuclear reactor 1, and a vapor generating device 14 is installed at the downstream therefrom. Sodium vapor generated in a heat-exchanger 5 is forwarded to a high- temperature part 11 of a sodium condensation cell 7 and then condensed at a low-temperature part 12 closely arranged to a second helium and sodium heat-exchanger 13. The high-temperature part 11 and low-temperature part 12 is separated by an interface 10 formed by a solid electrolyte consisting, e.g. ofβ-aluminum oxide. A this time, an electric current generated at the interface 10 is taken out by an electric circuit 9. Accordingly, by the use of a steam turbine and sodium condensation cell 7, an electric energy can be obtained with high efficiency.
