The arrangement consists of two orthogonal sets of parallel metal plates (P). Each set comprises plane-parallel plates, each of which has slots (S) cut in from one edge and running halfway across the plate. The slots in plates in one set accommodate the plates of the other set to form a rectangular honeycomb. The honeycomb fits into the hole. The slots may have serrations for gripping the plates. Instead of being orthogonal the two sets may be at an angle to one another - in which case the slots have sides that slope at a corresponding angle. The honeycomb may mount to a frame.
