The invention relates to a container (1) for the delivery, transportation, dispensing and collection of plastic tennis balls (7), which container is substantially characterised by the removal of the base (2) except for an inward-facing flanged edge (2.1) and the arrangement of longitudinally orientated, spaced, calibrated sprung steel bars (3). The tennis balls (7) are pushed in through the free gaps between the bars (3) and their emergence at the bottom is blocked.
