Filter insert for a solids filter which comprises a bellows (star filter) joined together at its ends made of a gas-permeable or liquid-permeable material, e.g. filter paper. The pockets formed by the bellows, opening into the interior of the star filter, are filled with open-celled elastic foam plastic which abuts the material of the bellows and supports this.
