PURPOSE:To prepare the titled novel enzyme capable of decomposing D-threonine into glycine and acetaldehyde, by culturing specific microbial strain belonging to Arthrobacter genus, Pseudomonas genus or Alcaligenes genus. CONSTITUTION:Microorganisms belonging to Arthrobacter genus, Pseudomonas genus or Alcaligenes genus and capable of producing D-threonine aldolase, e.g. Alclaigenes faecalis IFO 12669, Pseudomonas DK-2 (FERM-P NO.6200) or Arthrobactoer DK-19 (FERM-P NO.6201), are cultured in a nutrient medium, and the novel enzyme D-threonine aldolase is separated from the cultured product. |
