PURPOSE:To make the friction of slide contact of the mating surface of a mechanical seal small, by forming, from fluoride resin charged with a suitable filler, one of seal rings which is continuous to the surface that constitutes the mating surface. CONSTITUTION:A seal ring 12 and a packing 8 are simultaneously baked and joined together upon the molding of the packing. Further, the seal ring 12 is made of a fluorine contained resin charged with a filler. Accordingly, it has high strength, is suitable for the shaft seal of high pressure fluid, and power for overcoming the friction force may be decreased, since the coefficient of friction is extremely small in its mating surface S. |
