<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an ink composition for ink jet recording, which can give a print of a high adhesive strength and a high quality irrespectively of the kind of the base of a recording medium by mixing a plurality of specified vehicles and coloring materials in a specified mixing ratio. CONSTITUTION:An ink composition used in ink jet recording at temperatures lower than room temperature is obtained by mixing, as vehicles and coloring materials, 50-80wt.% ketone (A) of an m.p. of 60-110 deg.C (e.g., stearone), 5-15wt.% amide (B) of an m.p. of 60-110 deg.C (e.g., palmitamide), 5-30wt.% wax (C) of an m.p. of 60-110 deg.C (e.g., carnauba wax) and 3-10wt.% coloring material (D). This ink composition can give a print which has a high adhesive strength and a high printing quality irrespectively of the kind of the base of a recording medium.</p> |
