PURPOSE:To determine processing without being conscious of the type of an input and output device for a host system by unifying the announcing method of recovery procedures in each input and output device. CONSTITUTION:For example, when the input and output device is a printer, a host system 1 issues a write command. When an input and output device 2 finishes the processing to correspond to the command, the input and output device 2 announces end information, which indicate normality/abnormality to the host system 1 with interruption. In the case of abnormal end, the host processor 1 issues a sense command 3 and the input and output device 2 announces sense information 4. The host processor 1 analyzes these sense information 4, however, information 5 to announce an error retry method are included into a sense byte 11 in the sense information. |
