PURPOSE: To enable a cell recharged even at a high temperature, and prevent slow increase of inner resistance of the cell by using dopant to lower Lewis acidity of electrolyte. CONSTITUTION: An alkali metal anode 20 melts at a cell action temperature, molten salt electrolyte 24 of alkaline metal aluminum halide includes similar metal as the anode 20 to be halogen ions including chlorine ions, and cathode active material 28 is selected from a group of transition metals Fe, Ni, Co, Cr, and Mn. The electrolyte 24 includes dopant selected among M2 X, My, MAZ, and this dopant acts to lower Lewis acidity of the electrolyte. |
