<p>PURPOSE:To use the title X-Y coordinate reader for the input of a thick graphic or a hard graphic by fixing an one-point light source recognizing part including a light receiving element array on the upper part of a graphic. CONSTITUTION:Many fine unit light receiving elements 5 are arrayed on the light receiving element array 1. A light source 9 for emitting specific wavelength light is mounted on the tip of a pen 8. When the light source 9 is moved on a graphic, the array 1 is irradiated with the light emitted from the light source 9 through a deflecting lens 2 having a peak on the wavelength of the light source 9. Respective unit light receiving elements 5 in the array 1 are positioned and the elements 5 receiving the light are addressed by address decoder 6, 7. The addresses obtained by the decoders 6, 7 are compared with the values of data memories 10, 11 storing the coordinates of the pen 8 obtained before its movement by operating parts 16, 17. When displacement exists, displacement data are transmitted to counters 12, 13. At that time, whether the data of the counters 12, 13 increase/decrease coordinates can be discriminated by codes formed by positive/negative codes discriminating parts 14, 15.</p> |
