<p>A packet switching system for a distributed processing ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) has terminal line control units (10,11) trunk line control units (20,21), data packet assembly/deassembly control units (30), voice packet assembly/deassembly control units (40), a call processing control unit (50), and an internal bus device (60,61,62) for allowing data or voice to be transferred among the various control units. The data packet and voice packet assembly/deassembly control units are shared by all of the control units. The internal bus device is implemented as a packet bus (62) for transferring packetized data or voice, a message bus (60) for transferring non-packetized data or voice, and a call processing bus (61) for transferring call processing data.</p> |
