PURPOSE:To obtain the title drying characteristics-improving agent consisting essentially of a n-butyl methacrylate based polymer and capable of shortening drying time and providing printability causing no offset by adding to an oxidation polymerization based printing ink. CONSTITUTION:The aimed drying characteristics-improving agent consisting of forms of a powdery dryer composed of only n-butyl methacrylate based polymer fine particle or blend of the above-mentioned fine particle with a powdery material such as cobalt naphtenate, etc., or paste like drier obtained by kneading the above-mentioned fine particle with an oily material such as a drying oil or liquid dryer obtained by dissolving and dispersing the above- mentioned fine particle into a solvent such as petroleum benzin.
