PURPOSE: To enlarge the processing capacity of a data base by processing an inquiry containing reference to the view by means of dynamically synthesizing views at the time of executing the definition of the corresponding view. CONSTITUTION: The inquiry for referring to the view is processed by dynamically executing the definition 20 of the view at the time of executing the inquiry. A table which can be processed like a base table while the inquiry is executed is synthesized as the result of the execution of the definition. Thus, the node of another system, that is a view node, is introduced to an inquiry execution plan and the view and the substantiation is expressed. The view node can be processed in the same method as a table node. A permanent storage table corresponding to the prescribed view node does not exist in the storage place 12 of the data base. The view node is provided with the partial inquiry defining the table instead.
