Ceramic mouldings are dried in a drying chamber with air circulation. Conditioning of the air is carried out adjacent to a fan, such that waste air is withdrawn on pressure side of the fan and hot fresh air is fed into the flow at a distance in front. Reversal of the fan reverses the withdrawal and supply positions. Drum-shaped hot air and waste air chambers are provided, with an air control device for reversible opening and closing the inlet and outlet openings. ADVANTAGE - Improved air exchange arrangement.
