PURPOSE:To set an emulation register from the outside of an emulation chip by switching an emulation chip bus, a data bus, a control signal bus between the user for operation of the emulation register and the use otherwise by the emulation chip. CONSTITUTION:An emulation chip 1 makes an emulation chip reset signal 13 active by an external supervisor processor to reset a processor unit 2 and an emulation register 3. An address value is outputted to the register 3 through an emulation register address bus 9, and data to set the same mode as a microcomputer to be the target of emulation is written on an emulation register data bus 10. A memory control unit 4 and an interrupt control unit 5 are set to the same mode as the microcomputer to be the target through a unit setting signal 12 from the register 3. |
