The present invention brings an improvement to the systems of helical volumetric pumps with a positive displacement of fluid. The specific feature of the invention lies in the design of the means for rotationally driving the inner rotor shaft 1 which includes, at each of its ends 2 and 3, a drive element allowing a rotation in one direction at one end of the cell 4, and a rotation in the opposite direction at the other end 5. This device makes the use of the pump more universal, because it makes it possible to build one same cell either into an assembly making it possible to force (discharge) fluid into a pipeline or into an assembly making it possible to lift (draw) fluid from the pipeline. <IMAGE>
