APPARATUS FOR MEASURING THE RADIATED POWER OF LASERS

The invention concerns an apparatus for measuring the radiated power of lasers, in particular infra-red lasers, using a thermal detector which produces a power-dependent output signal. In order to be able to measure rapid changes in the radiated-power level, the apparatus is designed with a device for local integration of the laser radiation. To this device is connected, in addition to the thermal detector, at least one other detector which enables changes in radiated power to be detected over a wider bandwidth than that of the thermal detector. The apparatus further includes a circuit for combining the output signals of the detectors.
