PURPOSE: To simplify configuration by providing each artificial ear with a calibrator for storing the calibration information characteristics of characteristic information, and making the calibrator readable and usable by a programming system when adjusting an adjustment parameter. CONSTITUTION: A microphone 14 receives an acoustic input 16 and changes this acoustic input 16 into electric input signal 18, to be supplied to a signal processor 20. The signal processor 20 processes the electric input signal, according to auditory characteristics determined by an adjustment parameter 22 and supplies a processed electric signal 24 to a receiver 26. A calibrator 8 stores the correction information characteristics of information characteristic of each included artificial ear, so as to be operated together with the remaining part of the artificial ear 10, and this information is stored in a calibration information memory 28. Further, the calibration information in the calibration information memory 28 is supplied to an input/output mechanism 30 and can be read out by a programming system 32. Thus, configuration can be simplified.
