PURPOSE: To prevent an injury to operator during unsuccessful kick back by constituting a decoupler pawl which is brought into a decoupling position by an element which then kicks back and thereby releases the driving engagement while the mechanical element to be started is kick back. CONSTITUTION: While fixing a dish shaped driving disk 26 on an end surface of a bearing bush 14 that is fixed on an end of a crankshaft 12, a starter case 28 is fixed on a case cover 18 mounted on the crankcase 10, a pulley 32 winded with steel wire 34 is rotatably supported on a pin 28a that is mounted in the central axis. A drive pawl 48 being a driving element is shakably loaded on the pulley 32 with a pin 46, and the dive pawl 48 is pressed to clockwise direction by a pin spring 50. And, a keeping disk 44 is fixed on the pin 28a, and one foot 52a of a hair pin shaped spring 52 inserted in the disk 44 contacts with a lower part of the pawl 48, and a projection 56a of arm shaped pawl 56 being a decoupler pawl is engaged to the projection 48a of the pawl 48. |
