<p>PURPOSE:To suppress the exfoliation of the magnetic powder, the binder, etc., caused from a magnetic tape due to the rubbing friction produced between the tape and a tape guide by forming the tape guide into such a shape that avoids the touch between the tape and the tape guide in an area between a reference surface and a sloping surface. CONSTITUTION:A tape guide 6 has a shape that avoids the touch to a magnetic tape in an area between a reference surface 61a and a sloping surface 62a. As a result, the magnetic tape touches the surface 61a of the guide 6 and the surface 62a through its both edge sides only during the run of the tape. Thus the greater part of the tape except both edge sides have no touch to the guide 6 in the tape width direction. Therefore it is possible to suppress the exfoliation of the magnetic powder, the binder, etc., caused from the tape. Furthermore the tape is bent through its side edge parts having the touch to the guide 6 via the surface 62a only and the bent part has a slow curve at its corner. In such a shape of the guide 6, the injury of the tape can be reduced.</p> |
