PURPOSE:To keep a liquid shut-in condition for a long period by making a fitting body with a guiding part fixed to the inside of a connecting pipe, a fastening ring whose diameter can be reduced, and a compression member whose diameter is reduced by fitting to the outside of the fastening ring. CONSTITUTION:A fitting is composed of a fitting body 10, a fastening ring 20 and a cap nut 30 as a compression member 30. The fitting body 10 consists of a metallic layer 12a fixed to the inside of a connecting pipe, and an insulating layer 12b. And a recess groove 12c is provided for the outer peripheral area of the fitting body. The fastening ring 20 is fixed to the outside of the nut part 11 of the fitting body 10 with a clearance to the outer surface of a guiding part 12, so that its diameter can be reduced. A cap nut 30, which is fixed to the outside of the fastening ring 20, is provided with a taper surface 32 so that the connecting pipe is deformed and engaged into the recessed groove 12c on the guiding part 12. As a result, there is no possibility that the fitting concerned is broken when a load is exerted on the guiding part, or it is deteriorated if high-temperature water flows therein. |
