PURPOSE:To rotate a vibration wave motor at a constant speed by so setting the inductance and resistance of the secondary side of a transformer to suitable values that its driving voltage is high when the driving frequency of the motor is high, and low when it is low. CONSTITUTION:A driver for a vibration wave motor is composed of a battery 1, a driving high frequency oscillator 2, a flip-flop 3 for obtaining a A-phase driving signal, an inverter 4, a flip-flop 5 for obtaining a B-phase driving signal, a switch 5, switching transistors(Tr) 23-30, etc. Since an apparent current increases when the driving frequency becomes high due to the characteristic of the motor so that the voltage across the secondary coil of a transformer rises to increase the driving voltage while it decreases when the frequency decreases, the driving voltage drops. Then, the values of the inductance L and the resistance R of the secondary side of the transformer are so set as to become the relationship between the driving voltage and the frequency on a linear line at the time of rotating speed N. |
