PURPOSE:To detect the fault of totalization in the transaction following the faulty transaction by adding the totalization status to a memory included in a transaction processor and acquiring the updating state of the transaction totalization of a journal in case a fault occurs during the transaction. CONSTITUTION:It is decided that the updating of totalization is through with the totalization statuses 11-13 at the time when the totalization data contained in an answer telegram received from a host station is added to the total transaction amount and the total number of transaction stored in a memory. While the status 13 of the cash amount is set in a totalization update waiting state by a cash input/output instruction contained in the answer telegram. Then the end of the totalization updating is decided for the status 13 when the working of a currency input/output machine is through. In case a transaction processor detects a fault and the status 13 is waiting for or through with the totalization updating when the next transaction is started, the update waiting state is discriminated from the replacement end state for each of statuses 11-13 and fetched by a journal Thus an operator can perform the correct control for both the transaction amount and the number of transactions. Then the fault recovering time is shortened. |
