A polysiloxane composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a diorganopolysiloxane having at least two hydroxyl groups attached to different silicon atoms per molecule and of viscosity not less than 3000 cs. at 25‹ C., 1 to 20 parts by weight of a mono-organohydrogenpolysiloxane of viscosity not greater than 1000 cs. at 25‹ C., 1 to 20 parts by weight of an aminoalkoxysilicon compound and 5 to 20 parts by weight of an organotin acylate in an organic solvent. The composition may be used to coat paper. In examples the diorganopolysiloxane is a linear hydroxyl-ended dimethyl-polysiloxane; the mono-organohydrogen-polysiloxanes are methylhydrogen-polysiloxanes; the aminoalkoxy silicon compounds are aminobutoxypolysiloxanes, an aminoethoxypolysiloxane, a N-methylamino-ethoxypolysiloxane, a polysilicate ester of 2-aminobutanol, tetra-(2- aminoethoxy)-silane, methyl tri-(2-aminoethoxy)-silane, a N-diethylaminoethoxypolysiloxane, a 2-(2-aminoethoxy)-ethoxypolysiloxane, and an aminopropoxypolysiloxane; the organotin acylates are dibutyltin diacetate, dibutyltin dipropionate, dibutyltin dioctoate, butyltin triacetate, dibutyltin diformate, dioctyltin diformate, diacetoxytetrabutyldistannoxane, diacetoxytetraoctyldistannoxane, diacetoxyhexabutyltristannoxane and dioctyltin diacetate; the solvent is toluene. The aminoalkoxypolysiloxanes are prepared by reacting aminoalcohols with organopolysiloxanes containing silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms. They also may be prepared by transesterification of alkoxypolysiloxanes with aminoalcohols, and by the controlled hydrolysis of organo-(aminoalkoxy)- silanes alone or with aminoalkylsilicates.
