PURPOSE:To prevent defective discharge at the initial stage of the start of recording, and to improve response at high speed and the stability of discharge by installing or adjacently mounting a pressure-volume change body, pressure of which can be converted reversibly into its own volume change, into a liquid chamber or to the liquid chamber. CONSTITUTION:A recording head is formed by installing or adjacently mounting pressure-volume change bodies 105 into the liquid chamber 104 of the recording head or to the liquid chamber when the liquid chamber 104 is shaped or when the liquid chamber is filled with ink. The pressure-volume change body 105, a pressure-volume change ratio of which per one orifice is preferably 0.01mm<3>/ atm. or more. When ink is discharged, force pushing away ink 108 in the direction of the liquid chamber 104 from each flow path is generated in respective flow path, but the pressure-volume change bodies absorb pressure from each flow path in the shape of volume changes because the pressure-volume change bodies are set up into the liquid chamber 104. Accordingly, the generation of force pushing away ink to an ink supply pipe 106 through the liquid chamber from the flow paths 104 is relaxed or prevented. |
