发明名称 MAGNETO-OPTICAL DISK RECORDING METHOD
摘要 PURPOSE:To equalize the size of an area to be magnetized (bit area) by decreasing the area irradiated by a laser when the strength of laser irradiation is increased, and increasing the area irradiated by the laser when the strength of the laser irradiation is decreased. CONSTITUTION:A device which performs the recording of a magneto-optical disk 1 is provided with a means 2 to rotate the disk 1 and the laser 4, and the strength of the laser irradiation is controlled corresponding to information '1' and '0' to be written. Also, a laser converging optical system 41 is driven by an actuator 42 in an up-and-down direction in figure, and the area to be irradiated is decreased by focusing on the plane of the magneto-optical disk 1 when the irradiation strength of the laser 4 is high. On the other hand, when the irradiation strength of the laser 4 is low, the area to be irradiated is increased without focusing on the plane of the magneto-optical disk 1, and energy to be supplied is increased. In such a way, it is possible to equalize the area of the bit area at a constant level, and to improve a C/N.
