The screw capsule comprises an internally threaded hood and a sealing ring, these being joined by bridges. The ring is of elastic material, and when the capsule is screwed on it is turned over and past a bead provided peripherally on the container throat. There are sunken sections in the hood lower part and/or the sealing ring upper part, in which the bridges are fitted. The bridges are of elastic material, and are so dimensioned and fitted that the top part of the sealing ring springs upwards to locate against the hood lower part. The fixtures for fixing the bridges in the hood are positioned further forward in the screw capsule screwing direction than the corresp. fixtures in the sealing ring. The bridges are directed at an angle between 45 and 90 deg. towards a plane at right-angles to the screw capsule centre line, and the support surface between the hood and the sealing ring is formed by friction components. |
