A sensor for measuring the motional parameter of an object in the event of an accident includes a support (H), by which it is attached to the object, a sensor element (M/K/C), which emits an electrical sensor signal in the event of a relevant motion to be measured, and a seismic mass (M), which is swung into a different position in the event of a motion to be measured and in the test case and which in its movement mechanically touches or moves the electric contact (C) of an electric current switch, thereby actuating said switch (C); said sensor also includes a body (F, K), containing ferromagnetic material and an electromagnet (E) with an air gap, which, when it is activated with test current pulses (I) of predetermined strength and flow, attracts the body over the air gap, the electromagnet (E) and body being of such dimensions that the test current pulse, by attracting the body (K), simulates the motional parameter to be measured, even when the support is unmoved through lack of external mechanical influence, because the magnetic field created by the electromagnet under the effect of the test current pulse moves the seismic mass in the air gap of the electromagnet as far or even further than the position which actuates the current switch that emits the test sensor signal. The seismic mass according to said invention is a cylinder (M) which, when the sensor is not in operation, is held in its resting position by means of a volute spring (F). The body is identical to the cylinder and/or is a part (F) attached to the cylinder, and the cylinder can be pulled directly into the air gap by means of the test current pulse.
|
